“We Hold Upon the Earth the Place of God Almighty,” is a quote from Pope Leo XIII taken from his Encyclical Letter of June 20, 1894. Sadly, he was/is not alone in this thought. This self-exaltation to that of God on earth has brought about religious laws and traditions that affect us all in one form or another. With such world dominance for so many years, it should not surprise anyone that this religieux-political power is described in the Word of God.
Whereas God, the true God of Heaven, whom in Isaiah 44:6 states, “…I Am the first, and I Am the last; and beside Me there is NO GOD,” saw fit to warn us about this power in His Word.
