Joshua was right as recorded in Joshua 24:19, that God is, “A Jealous God” for all the RIGHT reasons! Namely, your salvation. God does not want any of us swept away from His loving care by the deceptions of the enemy. And He has made it abundantly clear that there is NOT even another God to serve in existence.
However, Satan wants to be like God; you may read more about this in the book of Isaiah chapter 14, and verse 14. And people may choose to serve him; but he will never truly be a god or like our Heavenly Father—his days of existence are numbered. He knows that he has but a short time of life left before his ultimate destruction.
